About this site:
In 1993, I spent the year writing in a blank datebook from 1954. Now, in 2010, I'm posting each page on the web and writing about it. You may want to start at the beginning.

1954: August 30-31

Monday
That's quite a shrimp.

Ah, Danny and bowling, the classic combination. It's funny that he got daiquiri ice and I got triple fudge fantasy (whatever that is) -- daiquiri ice was always my favorite.

Tuesday
A double shift at Baloney's meant working lunch to close. That's a lot of standing, but nothing compared to my boss's marathon day. She was back there from before open till after close, making sandwiches, with two people helping her in different shifts.

More Gaby problems. Or, in this case, Gaby's cousins problems. They may have been cousins, but they ruled over her like the worst kind of parent. I couldn't believe she just stopped talking to me because one of them said so. I was hurt enough to keep ranting into the next day.
